The joy of writing on the Medium
Regardless of the type, writing is one of the most enjoyable pursuits one can ever embark on. It is, I believe, the art and skill of putting words together, creating something that has never existed. What could be more intoxicating than breathing life into words, creating meanings and notions that are invaluable to you as the writer and to your intended readers out there? Just the same way that our Creator, Allah Almighty, breathed His soul into the lifeless body of man, producing His masterpiece of creation.
They say when artists create a painting, they like to take a few steps back now and then, looking at what they are creating, their eyes gleaming with satisfaction and joy, their heart beating faster with passion, their breath being heard from afar, and their lips blooming with a smile. I go through the same feelings when I finish writing something. I feel utterly pleased, lively, and valuable, reading over every single word and sentence I have created, not thinking whether my readers will welcome it.
Readers, it goes without saying, are the most significant stakeholders in the business of writing. You write for them, making an endeavor to keep them amused and satisfied so that they crave for more of you. However, what I intend to say is beyond that.
